Playtech extends partnership with Norsk Tipping via online casino and VLT games deals

Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC.L) has inked a pair of commercial deals with Norway’s national lottery, Norsk Tipping, that will see it supply the Norwegian firm with a selection of video lottery terminals (VLTs) and online casino products. The two agreements come after as many public procurement processes by the government-owned lottery company.

The new online casino agreement will allow Norsk Tipping to access the Isle of Man-headquartered developer’s extensive range of innovative online casino games comprising its lineup of premier content studios including Ash Gaming, Vikings, Quickspin, Origins and Rarestone, the newest addition to the Playtech studios family.

Localized content:

Meanwhile, the VLT deal will see Playtech provide its range of VLT games to Norsk Tipping’s terminals situated throughout Norway, while the two companies will also work together to create “unique custom content” for the Scandinavian country’s market.

Chief Operating Officer for Playtech, Shimon Akad, commented on the new agreements in a company press release…

“Playtech content has proven to be very popular with Norsk Tipping’s players. We are excited to continue supplying our strong roadmap of content to them as part of developing a market-leading, modern and responsible online and retail game offering to their players.”

“These new agreements are also a testament to our strength in games content for online casino and VLT retail markets, including the highly regulated and responsible-gaming oriented markets of Norway and the Nordic region. It also highlights our strategy of focusing on long-term partnerships with leading operators in regulated markets.”

Growing partnership:

The two deals also enhance the long-term strategic partnership between Norsk Tipping and Playtech, with the latter having supplied the operator with online casino games since 2016 and terminals, games, VLT platforms, and services since 2003. The agreements will result in each of the product areas being extended and expanded.

For its part, Norsk Tipping’s Head of Gaming Operations Hans Erland Ringsvold, added…

We are confident that Playtech’s proven VLT and online casino expertise in a wide range of regulated markets will continue to provide great value for Norsk Tipping and support us in the delivery of our overall content strategy.”

Rubik’s Cube launch:

The agreements follow the release of Playtech‘s new slot, Rubik’s® Cube, based on one of the world’s most iconic puzzle games. Launched earlier this month as a limited exclusive with Buzz Bingo, the new game features a Sticky Wilds mechanic, along with a built-in modifier that gives players a choice of six separate extra games modes, as well as the chance to choose volatility.
